Best friend, Marc Alfonso, of Andrew Dolejsi (Class of '99) wanted to pay a special tribute to Andrew, who was tragically killed in a car accident last January. Andrew loved animals and Marc decided to donate his earnings as a part-time ski patroller to the West Vancouver SPCA in Andrew's name. In late January, Marc presented a cheque for $3,595.76 and a plaque to the West Van SCPA in memory of Andrew. Marc, who has also put in more than 500 hours on Grouse Mountain as a volunteer patroller in memory of Andrew, donated all of his wages from last year to a cause that he knew would be near and dear to Andrew. For those who knew Andrew or who are interested, Marc challenges other individuals or businesses to match his donation or give what they can to the SPCA on behalf of Andrew Dolejsi.
