Shannon
has been a member of the Executive Committee since 2007. A student at
Collingwood from Grades 5 -12, she fondly remembers many
opportunities that being a part of the Collingwood family allowed (Choir
Tour!). In addition to acting as Vice Chair of the Executive Committee, Shannon
also headed the organizing committee of the Grad '99 10 Year
Reunion. She has worked in sales and marketing for the
past five years, focussing on media sales. Shannon currently works with
Pattison Broadcasting where she represents 93.7JRfm and 100.5 The Peak She
still loves music and continues to sing, write and perform, occasionally
dusting off her violin.
Kirsten Morrison (Holmes) ‘91
Kirsten joined the
Executive Committee in
2009. She was a founding Collingwood student and graduated in 1991. Her
sister,
Sarah followed in 1993. Kirsten is the parent of two daughters at
Collingwood, one in Junior Kindergarten and the other in Grade 2. Since
becoming a
Collingwood parent, she has been an active volunteer at the school, most
recently as a member of the Fall Gala 2009 Committee and the 2010 Spring Fair Committee. She is the
proprietor of
All That Glitters Hair Clips and RAE Accessories, a local business. Kirsten brings
her knowledge and experience as both an alumnae and a Collingwood parent
to the
Executive Committee.
Christopher Daniel ‘07
Christopher joined the Executive Committee in 2009.
Christopher (known to all at Collingwood as "Tiffy”) was the middle of the three
Daniel brothers to attend Collingwood and was Head Boy in 2006 – 2007. He has just completed is in
his third year of studies at the Sauder School of Business at UBC and will be
working this summer at KPMG. On completion of his degree he intends to pursue his C.A. degree. While at
Collingwood, Christopher was very involved with rugby and has continued his involvement
with the sport at UBC, where he is currently the manager of the UBC Rugby Team. He has been an enthusiastic supporter
of the Alumni Association since his graduation.
Malcolm Ert '05
Malcolm was a
Collingwood "lifer” and graduated in 2005. During his years at Collingwood, he
participated in rugby and basketball and was on the Student Executive. Following
his graduation, he attended the University of Victoria and obtained his
Bachelor of Arts degree. He has since returned to Vancouver, completing his
mutual fund and life insurance licenses and is now working with Freedom 55
Financial in the financial services industry. Always an enthusiastic supporter
of Collingwood School, Malcolm is currently on the organizing committee for the
5 Year Reunion for the Class of 2005 and is looking forward to working with the
Alumni Association.

Todd Haibeck '92 - Pat Chair
Todd was
Head Boy in his senior year at Collingwood and was an active member of the
choir, band, basketball, rugby and golf teams. In 1996 he graduated from the
University of Western Ontario (Finance & Economics) and in 2003 he earned
his Chartered Financial Analyst (AIMR) designation. For the past six years,
Todd has worked at TD Mutual Funds where he has built the firm a $500M business
in the Greater Vancouver Area. He is currently Regional Vice President.
Todd, his wife Melissa and daughters live in North Vancouver. Todd treasures
the lessons and values he learned while attending Collingwood School and has
enjoyed giving back to the school and the community. Todd was Chair of the
Alumni Association from 2008 - 2010.
Tina Beer '93 - Past Chair
Tina sat as Chair of the Alumni Association from 2006 - 2008. Having
been the first student enrolled at Collingwood and graduating in 1993, Tina has
maintained a passion for Collingwood life. Encouraging alumni to stay in touch
for friendship, giving back to the school, and career networking opportunities
were Tina's commitments as Chair. Tina was a tax manager at Bell Canada,
and completed her Diploma in Public Sector Management through UVic. She is
currently the General Manager for Consignment Canada.In her spare time, Tina
enjoys trail running, yoga, ocean kayaking, skiing and sailing.
Sarah Byrd '95
Sarah was
a student at Collingwood from 1985 to her graduation in 1995 and served as Head
Girl in her senior year. After Collingwood, Sarah obtained a Bachelor of
Science from the University of Victoria. While at UVic, she served as the
Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis. Following UVic, she spent some time
travelling, living in New York, Toronto and Colorado.She has been an active
volunteer in many areas, such as North Shore Family Services, Canadian Cancer
Foundation, Salvation Army, St. Monica's Outreach Program and the Coalition to
Save Eagleridge Bluffs. Sarah sat on the Executive Committee from 2006 -
2009.
James
Clendenan '02
Following his graduation from Collingwood in 2002,
James pursued a computer engineering degree at Queen's University in Kingston,
Ontario. Upon his graduation from University he returned to Vancouver to
pursue his career and looks forward to assisting the school and the alumni by
helping to create a strong community where people can stay in touch through
both in-person and virtual events. As a Collingwood alumnus, James has been
involved for a number of years in several initiatives at the school, including
the notebook computer program for faculty and a number of school musicals.
James was a member of the Executive Committee from 2006 - 2009. Laura Powroznik '98
After
graduating from Collingwood in 1998, Laura went to the University of Victoria
and the University of Alberta to finish her degree in Elementary Education.
Laura then found herself more and more interested in the real estate and mortgage
industry, so she proceeded to get her Strata Management and Sub-Mortgage
Brokers License at the Sauder Business School at UBC. She is a currently a
Mortgage Expert with Dominion Lending Centres, one of the top Mortgage
Brokerages in Canada. Laura was a member of the Executive Committee from 2008 -
2010.
